Army is the better team, but both are young and inconsistent. Loyola is a far better team than Lafayette, but also inconsistent. They've beaten Lehigh twice, by a total of 3 points, along with Bucknell and been terrible at other times. Depending on which Loyola team shows up, they can be a handful for anyone.
I don't care who we play. Just win baby! Though a finals matchup with Lehigh would be exciting.

Right now it is just win Thursday time. It is one of the luxuries of a more spread out tournament. Despite Army being the superior team, I think we match-up better against them in terms of styles. I don't think our kids like to play the pace that American would force the game into.

AB, I agree with the JUST WIN mentality. The Bison are peaking at the right time. It is time to win it all and start dancing!!!

Army up 12 with 5:00 to play. So far it's the bad Loyola, down 5 to Lafayette at halftime.

Apparently Lewisburg hotels nearly sold out for the next few weeks. A swimming meet, a wrestling tournament, and the basketball team have things pretty crowded through the 18th.

The EIWA tournament and the PIAA swimming championships bring in a huge amount of money to Lewisburg. One runs two very full days and the other runs six days. Most attendees are from out of the area and stay over for multiple days.

This site predicts that Bucknell will "choke" again with Lehigh dancing. I almost threw up.

That's SOV. Usually he's pretty good about us, and he was in this article up to the point of his prediction. We'll just have to wait and see.

HC is ice cold with only 12 points in the first half against Navy. Personally, I would love to see HC knocked out early this year.

Radical idea for rewarding top seeds in league tournaments. I'm ok with the bye, but spotting a 10-point lead is crazy.

They do not even mention the PL best team stays home system. Also given the way the PL tourney schedules, best team would sit for 10 days awaiting the tourney winner. Might work if you did it over a few days at champs sight. 10-0 lead is anti American. (not meaning AU)

Fwiw I believe the grandfather of all tournaments was the ACC. At the time there were fewer teams in the dance (32?) and the ACC Champ was definitely at risk of getting left out. They played every year at the Greensboro Colisseum, and it was a huge moneygrab that caught on. I thought it was a dumb idea then, and still do. But with the Ivy's capitulating, there ain't no stopping it.
We have beaten two teams that we already beat twice. Now LU has to beat us for a third time. If they can, we can urinate and moan, but we really cannot complain about the conference rep being a team that beat us three out of three. One way to stop that!

Quite simply, if we cannot defeat Lehigh one time, we do not deserve to dance.

The OVC uses an interesting bracket, but their tournament is played on four consecutive days.
