Nice Senior Night festivities, and Jackie Falconer took advantage of her free start with a nice move down the lane for an and-one. However, Lions lead 15-13 after 1. Have made some three's, though, so that's good.

Penn 32-29 at half. Surprisingly, not playing great defense; Camille Zimmerman getting hers for the Lions, and they're given up some wide-open backdoors. However, they are still making the three's, and they'll remember how to play D eventually. Cornell beat Princeton.

Penn up 50-40 after 3. Playing much better defense, and Agayhere had an effective stretch, picking up 6 in about 2 minutes. Still need to put it away, though.

Looks like Princeton probably lost its shot for a piece of the title tonight by losing to Cornell. It was a long shot, but I was hoping that our women would enter the Palestra with a chance to tie. Now only a Penn collapse, which ain't gonna happen, could put the Tigers back in the running.
Oh well, there IS the stupid tourney ....
Seriously, it would be embarrassing if another team got the invitation to the Prom.

Final was 68-59. When they shoot 41% overall and 50% from 3, they look a lot better. Zimmerman went off for the Lions, getting 31, but Penn kept the rest of them in check. Nwokedi was dominant in the paint, picking up 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Ross and Chambers were both in double figures. Hopefully, they can keep building on this during the Dartmouth-Harvard trip next week.
