Women leading at half, 31-24. Have been moving the ball well all night, which is a good sign. They didn't make their shots early on, but they ended the second quarter on about a 12-2 run. Cornell leading Yale by 8 in the first half, Brown losing to Columbia, Princeton leading Harvard by about 8 in the first half. (See my post on the league board about the possibilities.) I'm rooting for anyone but Yale to get the 4th seed, since they beat us before.

Now only up 45-41 at half. Not making good shots, and Dartmouth has made some tough shots inside. Olivia Smith, one of their taller players, has made a couple of turnaround jumpers on Stip, of all people. Cornell beat Yale, so the 'Dogs are done; Brown now up on Columbia; Princeton was up 15 on Harvard at half.

Well, Dartmouth did manage to tie it up early in the 4th, but then Chambers added another sick play to her highlight reel: she stole the ball from a Dartmouth guard right before halfcourt, dribbled in towards the right post, then at the last second spun across the lane and threw in the reverse layup from the left side. Dartmouth tied it again with two free throws, but then had seven or eight possessions where Penn either blocked shots or stole the ball. Meanwhile, Nwokedi took over in the post; there's no question that if they win the championship, she will be POY. She has been carrying them the past couple of weeks. Final was 60-47, assuming Dartmouth didn't score in the final four seconds that we missed due to an ILDN glitch. Harvard came roaring back in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers held on by four, so we still have to win tomorrow to make Tuesday meaningless. Brown ended up winning easily, so they will head to Cornell for the winner-take-all match tomorrow.

Basically, Penn shut Dartmouth out for the last 8 minutes.

Not sure who to root for, Old Bear--Brown gave us a more interesting game the second time than either of the Cornell games were, but Cornell seems to be building confidence with each outing. I guess I'll pull for quadruple overtime.

Actually, it depends on how well we do against Harvard tomorrow; if we beat them soundly, then I definitely want Cornell to win, because that would put Harvard in the #4 seed, and they're struggling right now.
