He'll have to think about the missed one and one the rest of his life but thanks for 4 great years and for helping to bring respectability back to the Palestra. He'll be missed.

Couldn't agree more. Only one in his class to stick it out all 4 years. Paved the way for "the process."

Hear hear. Howard stuck it out through some pretty tough times and had the game of his life against Harvard last week. The team wouldn't have been in the position to win if not for his efforts all season.
Thanks for everything, Matt.

Agreed. And the story of Matt's senior season is one of my favorites in college ball: the kid who works hard and does all the right things, labors in obscurity and frustration for three years, and is finally rewarded with a great senior season.
And he really did make a difference: the program is finally, clearly moving in the right direction, and Matt Howard must get some of the credit for that. His example of leadership and dedication sets the tone going forward.

His blocked shot against Harvard's fast break will go down as a favorite play of all time. It was a less spectacular and less meaningful version of LeBron's massive block against Iguodala. It was still awesome.
