I still think, however, that the tournament should be for an NIT bid.

What's in it for the NIT?

The Champion of the asinine tournament that now determines the NCAA bid . Since the NIT is owned by the NCAA, it should be delighted.

Fun fact: When I first entered the above post, the word "!diot" was auto changed to "genius". I had to change the "I" to "!" to get my intended result.

I have lived too long.

Yes to tournament. Top six. First four Thursday. Winners take on the top two seeds Friday. Championship on Sunday.

Alternatively, you go top 5. First four Thursday. Next two Friday. Winner gets the champ Sunday.

But I think I like top six better.
LET'S go BRU-no (duh. nuh. nuh-nuh-nuh)

This is a fairer plan than the current one. I would go for top 5, because it then gives a double bye---a true reward for winning the regular season, to the champion.

But seriously, there should be no tournament. We will not get a second bid and the revenue/publicity is contrary to the spirit of the Ivy Agreement, which is may the best team win.

I am also in favor of adding teams for the Tournament's future.

Between the two divisions, there were three schools missing. If jsut one more team was added to each group, Columbia (men) and Cornell (women) would have been included. This would have given more athletes the chance to participate, and more fans would have attended some of the event.

Including two more teams to the men's and women's divisions would result in two days of quadruple-headers. With ESPN dictating the day and times of the weekend semifinals and finals, the league would most likely be looking at the practice day on Thursday and the first four games on Friday.

Two full days of Quadruple-headers, followed by a double-header, will take a lot of effort from the league and venue staffs. While they all did a very good job this past year, it might be reasonable to start with adding one team to each division.

As a result, there could be a double-header on Friday night, followed by Saturday's quadruple-header and Sunday's double-header.

I think you might want to save a space in the Ivy tournament for the Bears. They have 4 starters back, two transfers and a couple of others who may see significant time.

Play the tournament in a high school gym in a great city with good restaurants and hotels, make sure “host” school doesnt make it so Penn , Princeton, Yale (who have the only arenas worthy of hosting) face off on neutral court. Welcome to 2022!

I'm fine with playing at Boston---but the Tournament, to meet it's supposed goal to bring everyone together should be played at Agganis Arena at BU---minutes away and seats 7200. Anywhere that hosts should seat 5000 or more. They should not have to empty the building nor price it so high that demand is low. Everything the Ivy League does from a marketing and promotion basis is ridiculous.

I would love to see a neutral site perhaps in Bridgeport. Easier for more people to get there. I am sitting in an airport in Allentown waiting for a flight to Charlotte connecting to Boston. Ridiculous! But I will get to see my Tigers play at least 2 games and maybe 4. At my age it's worth it.

Since I am in Philadelphia, I'm just flying Jet Blue for $75 each way. Wouldn't it be easier for you to drive down to PHL rather than fly Allentown to Charlotte to Boston for a whole lot more?

First round of four on Friday night at the gyms of the two higher seeds.

Final at the gym of the highest remaining seed on Sunday.

This format would maximize the crowds and reward the higher seeds.
