Just a little update from Bucknell, summer BB camps. Friday 23 and Sat 24, the men's prospect camp is now ongoing, around 80 attending on 1st day, perhaps a few more will show up today. Really hard to judge any special young men, as pretty much everyone seems able to shoot, and as usual they all want the ball in the team games. the best thing about the camp is our team, every player back and it is nice to see these guys back together. I think this team has chance to be even better this season and just from my observation the incoming Freshman can play, things are looking good for 17-18. The Women's camp was last Sat, much younger players, more of an instruction day for them. I believe only 3 of our Lady Bison didn't get back for the one day. I really like our Freshman this group could be special, they have really bonded in a short time with the upper class girls. I know this is not an in depth report, but nice to see both teams back and all the players healthy. Go Bison!

Saw Nana in Sojka working on - and making - jump shots the other day. If he can add a mid-range jumper to his game, he will be a formidable player and not just in the PL.

It would be nice if that happened - but I'm not holding my breath. In several pre-game sessions this past season, I saw him make a high percentage of foul line jump shots. But it's easy to make shots when unguarded with no pressure, especially when you are shooting multiple shots from the same distance. Much harder to do it in games. And it's that much harder with bad mechanics on the shot.

Lots of guys have developed jumpers 137 with bad mechanics. Larry Bird had atrocious mechanics. I think Nana could have a nice career in Europe but I don't think he is anywhere near athletic enough for the Association.

Tell you what though. I thought Nana was the best player on the court against West Virginia and bet Huggins would agree.

Huggins comments about Nana start around 13:45. Quite complimentary coming from him.
