Here's the problem for next year -- you have shoot first guards in Smith and Hickman who are the centerpieces. Not a problem if you have other players who are pass first, but feels like this whole team is a shoot first, ask questions later squad.
Summer ball they've really been letting in fly, for better or worse. Give this team a Grant Mullins and they would be in great shape. But as it stands I think there's gonna be a rough transition from a ball movement/passing perspective

Yes indeed, but the Lions are likely to play a three guard offense which could be a mitigating factor.

While he'll pop from almost anywhere, Adlesh has shown he understands the flow, knows what to do.

I've seen Hickman drive and kick or make interior passes off a drive.

And the Lions also have Castlin, Bibbs, Stefanini and Davis amongst others. Based upon what happened last year, I would not be surprised if the Lions use a very large rotation, particularly in the backcourt.

Rough year for bigs, especially those that are Ivy targets, so good to get one. Also love undersized bigs for the Ivies because they tend to be underrecruited relative to skill level.
Three star seems a bit of a stretch (not sure who's got that rating), but a nice get regardless.

Is he actually listed as a three star somewhere? Because on ESPN, he only gets a 61

First piece in what is likely to be an another excellent recruiting class. Another prime prospect will be coming in for his official visit soon. Obviously, Engles and his staff are very good recruiters.

Some more info re Ellis, he was first team all state in NV; he averaged 25 ppg., 8.7 rebounds, 3.3 assista, and 2.1 steals.
He was visited by Stanford, and some of the recruiting "experts" had him choosing between us and Stanford, but not clear whether Stanford actually offered him at this point, and one of our knowledgeable posters thought it was actually between us and Santa Clara. Whatever the case, a very nice pickup.

The 2018 class got thin QUICK, so landing a quality scorer is a huge win. Teams that managed to get a few decent pieces out of 2017 and 2018 are going to be at a huge advantage once the monster 2016 class graduates, because there are going to be some teams that will end up with pretty bare junior and senior classes at that point.
