I did not get a chance to watch the HC at Bucknell game yet, but from the highlights, it looked like HC was no match for the Bison. So, my pick is probably American for tonight's game.

HC trails AU 25-23 at the half. Ugly game. A lot of passing around the perimeter with nothing accomplished.

HC came back to beat American 60-57. That is exactly why I do not bet on sports.

There were some interesting games tonight:

1. Loyola beat Lehigh in two OT's after trailing by 11 points with 4:30 left. There's always a chance when Brett Reed is coaching. Actual crowd in Bethlehem appeared to be on the low side of 300.

2. Lafayette lost to Boston by 3 points, as Petrie missed a three at the buzzer. The scoring patterns were interesting:

- LC broke out to a 26-10 lead through the first 12 minutes.
- Boston finished the half on a 20-8 run.
- LC extended the lead to 8 points early in the secon half, but then were outscored 37-14 to fall behind 71-56 with exactly 1:00 left.
- LC then outscored Boston 16-4 over the last minute to draw within 3 points, but couldn't hit a shot at the end to tie it.

3. Colgate upset Army on the road 81-78. Stats were even with the exception of CU having a 12-rebound advantage. Going into the game, the two teams were very even in that category - so that shouldn't happen. Colgate, who is 6-3 in PL play, is now in 3rd place one game ahead of Army.

How in the world did LC manage to score 12 points in under a minute and still have the ball and time for a last three? Hard to even comprehend how It was manifest

137 - Disregard I read the ESPN game thread. The most amazing part of the answer to my question is that BU made 4-7 FT’s in the last 1:00...meaning LU scored 17 points in 1:00. Wouldn’t want to play LC in 3 years

Saw a replay and "ugly" nets it out. Recruiting videos will be tough to develop this year for both teams.

He tweaked a hamstring early in their previous game vs Navy. It didn't sound real serious so he may be back for the Sunday game vs the Bison.

137-interesting you mentioned Reed since during game I was having dinner with 2 Leigh alums. They both are concerned that he has put in his time at the University and will be looking at a bigger job after this season. Neither has strong connections so just conversation.

He hasn't had enough success for any of the bigger programs to look at him. He missed his window of opportunity after the Duke win

Agree. He is a great recruiter but a poor coach. Has done less with more almost every year.

When you find a Lehigh alum with strong connections to the men's basketball program, please let us know.

Lehigh lost again at home, this time to Navy 77-75. Lehigh had a 3 point lead with a minute to play, but gave up two layups to Shawn Anderson and couldn't hit a shot. They made a couple of comebacks after Navy went up 9 two separate times, but couldn't close. They're now tied with Lafayette for 8th, one game out of the cellar.

They have to travel to Holy Cross for a game on Monday. HC beat Lafayette handily today.

The Bison are finally back in the Top 100 RPI at #85 which is up 25 spots: http://realtimerpi.com/college_Men_basketbal l_rpi2...

Also, Kenpom.com, which is a much better indication of how good the team is, has the Bison at #104. I have always considered being in the Top 100 to be where a quality mid major should try to be.

In the “way too early” brackets, ESPN has Bucknell a 14 in the East playing Ohio State in Wichita. Others have the Bison either a 14 or 15. First, I just want Bucknell to make the Dance, but a 14 seems right...and a small chance for 13.
