John Templon of nybuckets, in response to our out of conference schedule, seems to be giving us a vote of no confidence. But I would rather play a challenging OOC schedule because I think it is better preparation for the IL than playing a bunch of patsies, and we have tended to do well against tough OOC teams.

Full schedule 08-21-17 04:05 PM - Post#232257

Well, for starters, the first seven games are on the road, and we are very likely to lose at least 4 of them (villanova, penn State, conn.,albany). Longwood, army, and colgate are by no means certain victories either. Also, by my count, of the 27 games, just 12 are at home. So unless the early schedule does toughen us, we will probably win fewer games in total this year than last.

How could we have scheduled seven straight away games?

I suspect that this year's schedule is a product of Jim's preferences mixed in with agreements reached under Kyle's regime.

Finally, we open the Ivy League season with two games the same weekend against Penn and Princeton rather than back-to-back weekends against Cornell. Thanks to whoever made that schedule change.
