In the most recent weekend, Funk had 20 of his team's 55 points in a loss, and 25 of his team's 78 points in a win. He led Wood in scoring in both games.

Funk last night scored 35 points and also had 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in a 75-73 loss over a very good Roman Catholic squad (coached by John Griffin's brother Matt) - one of the top team's in PA. Funk had 29 points in the second half. This article has three video clips of Funk in that game - scoring on a drive, driving and then passing to the corner for an easy shot by a teammate, and finally hitting a very long three (videos 2,4, and 5). Funk is #11 in white btw.

I think Funk’s Brother is a very good player from what I’ve seen of him at army.

Yes, he has turned into a very solid player. Ironically the only offer he had in HS was from Army - despite having very high grades and SAT's. A lot of PL and Ivy schools would love to have him now.

Being only 6-0 tall, he is a different type of player than Andrew, who has grown to 6-4.

If Andrew plays the equal of his brother with four additional inches, he’d be a fine addition for sure.

Funk was named 1st team All-Catholic League today - a great achievement considering that league is one of the stronger ones in the East. Even better, it appears that he was the 3rd highest vote-getter - trailing only Isaiah Wong, a junior who has offers from Villanova, Seton Hall, and many others; and Seth Lundy, a junior who has offers from PSU, UConn, Oregon, VCU, and many others.

Funk was named the Catholic League POY by the Markward Memorial Basketball Club, which honors players from the Philly area and has regular basketball lunches/dinners. The various award winners will be honored at a dinner this Wednesday.

Taylor O'Brien was named the suburban Philly POY as well.

Funk recently made the 2nd team All-Southeast PA team. The first team includes one senior going to Duke, two juniors with dozens of very high level offers including ones from Villanova, and two with dozens of offers from schools like Penn State, UConn, Oregon, VCU, and Temple.
