Well, I guess I'm not seeing that eight-game sample from Betley as his entire effort from the season. If that's his baseline effort, then it won't really be "stepping up." But I won't assign his baseline to be like that just based on an eight-game sample at a time when when nobody had a chance to gameplan for him. Now he'll be a focal point defensively, teams will be able to study tape. I can't see him averaging 18 this year; even 14-15 ppg for him would be "stepping up." If he only plays alright, averages 10ppg, but Devon Goodman plays better....I just don't see them being AS good as if Betley goes off. If he averages 18 ppg again this season, then he won't need to "step up" as a junior because that'll be his effort and that's what they need from him.
