Kaspar learned to compete by the time he was a senior under DP. The fact that he had really limited range and was a surprisingly bad FT shooter was counterbalanced by his toughness as he developed. I'll tell you one thing they remember him at Penn State...he destroyed them...was one of those guys I screamed at the TV the most about but always admired him underneath...great citizen as well

Yes, he was a bad FT shooter for three years - much of it mental - but he somehow willed himself into shooting them well as a senior. Hit over 72% in all games and about 76% in PL games. In fact, he ranked in the league's top 10 for FT shooting in PL games that year. That's something most people wouldn't have guessed. He was also 5th in assists, 7th in steals, 15th in blocked shots, and 1st in assist:turnover ratio that year.

We loved Steven ever since he was a freshman. He competed hard and was fun to watch. He ended being a passable shooter as a senior and I think he was handcuffed greatly by the system he was in. If he played for the current Bison regime and was tha starter, he’d be hugely entertaining, and successful.
