Penn often plays well against Lasalle. Who's going to the Palestra tonight? I am.

I'll be there. No way they can shoot as poorly as last game. They opened as favorites and it's now a pickem.

Still searching for some kind of answer on Antonio's minutes.

It's probably going to take at least 2-3 more games for Donahue to find an effective rotation. Last season it took far too long for that to happen. Hopefully he can be a bit more efficient this season. Once that process is complete, we'll see what Antonio's role is going to be.

It just seemed strange that he got a good early run and then practically nothing after that. I don't think he even saw the court in the second half.

I didn't see Saturday's game so don't want to speculate, but we've gotten up early in quite a few games over the past few years, only to spit the bit in a matter of minutes. You get up 12, put the foot on the neck and try and put them away. If they did wholesale substitutions after the initial lead, that's an indication that the game didn't mean too much in terms of W/L

Donahue answers Q's to COBL folks here:

http://www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/s...

Basically decided to give Devon more time because he was more comfortable shooting 3's than Woods since Fairfield were playing a matchup zone.

I have to say that the "rotation" was all over the place and frankly a little concerning since we have just about everyone back and are only adding 3 players into the mix at the moment.

For me, I also see no reason Donahue should get that much time, and MacDonald and Dwyer minutes seemed pointless at the point when we should be getting Scott and Simmons minutes...

That said, I'm happy to give a mulligan for first game if we can come back with a more coherent rotation and play well today.

Let's hope that's what we see tonight!

Please tell me that they won't be wearing these uniforms at home all year. They're ugly, and we really don't need to remind people that we have the stupidest nickname in college sports.

So where's all these 3-pointers I keep hearing about? So far only Betley has taken any. Defense obviously more competent than it was Sat.

Betley is the only guy who should be taking a lot of threes, anyways.

Well, other than Jones or Donahue when they are on fire.

On this team, he's also probably one of the only guys you feel good about at the line, too.

Good news is they're not chucking up 3s and are getting every call. The bad news is they can't score and are down 8.

Apparently they CAN shoot as poorly as they did Saturday.

Well, a little flurry at the end cuts the lead to four.

The “wait till 8 seconds remain, then have Goodman dribble into a double team” wasn’t an optimal end-of-half set though.

Considering how poorly they have shot, they're fortunate to be close at the half.

Wood did this early on last year--a big guard who can shoot from distance. Need to keep teams honest from keying too much on Betley.

Seems like an established pattern. End of clock, half and game scenarios continue to disappoint. It's obvious that the two teams he killed the most have come with gameplans to stop AJ.
