The Bison schedule at this moment is ranked the 13th hardest.
Although Pomeroy ranks the Bison schedule at #13, he would acknowledge it is actually the hardest. The 12 teams ahead of them all have played one or two D3 schools - who are not considered in the Pomeroy rankings. For example, the team with the "toughest" schedule, UNC-Greensboro has played Virginia, NC Wesleyan, and Ferrum. If you factor in that the two D3's are, at best, at the level of the worst D1's, then UNCW would actually rank below average in scheduling difficulty. The only one of the twelve ahead of Bucknell that has actually played a difficult schedule is Western Carolina, who has played Minnesota, Cinci, Clemson, and D3 Hiwassee. The first three are about as tough as the three P5 conference teams the Bison have played - but Hiwassee is obviously much weaker than Monmouth.
