Game notes up....Castlin still out, Adlesh starting. It has been a week--does anyone know when Castlin might return? I just hope it is not a hairline fracture, rather than a bone bruise.

I looked into watching the game on Penn State's Big Ten stream. You have to buy a month subscription at a minimum, no single game passes. That's pretty lousy, if you ask me. I'd suggest CU include reasonable access to online streams for its fans in any future game contracts. When will the government recognize the Big Ten for the the for-profit league it really is?

True. But I splurged for one month on the Penn State site, making a mental note to cancel tomorrow and ensure there is no automatic renewal. It's a relatively cheap form of masochism--$9.95 to watch us lose by double digits.

38-35 at the half, up from 21-8 8 minutes in. Gutsy performance--unlike last year, this team doesn't quit

Adlesh with 11, playing Faulds and Tape together, and this looks like Faulds breakout game.

79-65. Penn State went on a 14-3 run to open the second half, and we never really recovered.

The main takeaway from this game is that Tape and Faulds have begun to play better. Tape had 8 pts. and 7 rebounds, Faulds 6 and 3. Though it was hyperbole uttered in the midst of the late first half run to say that this was Faulds' breakout game, you can see that both of them are beginning to do some of the things they are supposed to do. Instead of first year- deer-in-the-headlights, we caught our first glimpse of two effective D1 centers.

The turnovers couldn't be overcome, whatever else happened. And, Smith had another 7 for 20 or so game.

Yeah, his ORAT was 84, and is now down to 91 for the season. He had 6 assists, but an = # of turnovers. It is a mixed bag: sometimes, he is probably is taking the only available shot, while on other occasions, there are options before him that he is not trying.

If only Castlin were available to diversify the offense....
