Is there any new insight on Mackenzie's condition? I'm also very impressed with Sotos but a key for Bucknell is a health, confident Kimbal Mackenzie. His toughness, intensity, leadership, and scoring ability are needed. We need the guy who played so well against West Virginia.

Agree 100%. Sotos and Moore are ideally 6 and 7.

I think Kimbal may have reagrivated his injury on the hard fall he took in the first half. It seems like his minutes were limited after that.

Only caught snippets of the game on my phone during dinner at the in-laws. Finally got to watch the whole thing today. I thought the foul calls and no-calls at the end were legit or at worst borderline. Thought our guys stayed poised while Ball St got a little flustered. Agree that Sotos is a stud. He's got a great situation. Don't see him going anywhere.
In addition to Toomer's injury, don't forget Kimbal is still not 100%. I suspect that is the reason O'Reilly played so much especially at the end. They appear to still be limiting Kimbal's minutes and trying not to risk further injury. If we get both of them back to full strength for the PL season, watch out.

Agree. I went back and watched some of the key calls down the stretch and they looked OK:
1. Foul when Moore was shooting with the shot clock about to expire: he was hit on the wristband with the body.
2. Foul when Sotos was setting a pick down low and was run over: he was clearly set, didn't move, and was hit hard by the defender trying to get through.
3. Ball State illegal screen at the other end: looked like a clear illegal screen. Player setting the pick ran up on Moore and didn't have legal position.
4. Traveling call in the lane near the end: it looked like Persons' foot slipped and pivot foot dragged.
I understand that the coach who the calls go against wants the refs to swallow the whistle in those situations or to balance out the calls. But I don't think there was anything wrong with them.

Yes, but not right away. Last nights game was not archived till 1AM. To access go to Stadium, click on “Live†( doesnt make sense, right), where it asks for “date†enter the game date (12/22 for Ball St), scroll to the game and watch.

After I woke up from my turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy induced coma, I watched the game to see why everybody is raving about Soros. OK, he is good and will probably get better. I do not know if he will ever be as quick as Brown, but that being said, it is nice to have a very good backup PG who will become a starter next year.

Sotos strong point is he lets the game come to him. Does not force penetration and leave his feet and force contact and hope he draws a whistle. He has yet to take a “bad†shot that I’ve seen. Also appears to be a high 70’s low 80’s foul shooter. Pretty savvy operator. All things you want in a PG. That said, pressure is not on him to score as he has pieces of the puzzle around him. Remains to be seen if he can be a scorer when he draws more attention and has to be less selective shot wise. Clearly a good shooter and his production per minute has been good. Bison are a good fit for him. Without a real big like a Nana to fit with him downstream however he does by himself put us at a level where we have been competing in recent years. He just got here and post this year he’s going to be forced to take on a larger role. It will take some time but he’ll figure it out. He’s a heady kid and a good competitor.

Old Bison that is a great analysis of Sotos. He makes the game seem so slow when he has the ball. Nothing forced, always in control....Sky is the limit. Next year Sestina and Moore will be the guys down low. I think Nate can fill it up. Bruce will be dangerous as an inside-outside threat.
Future is bright friends. Could be a reload not a complete rebuild.

Just realized I forgot the word “not†at a critical juncture - meant to say he “does not†by himself put us at a level....
Big difference!!!
