Game time: Saturday at 7:00 pm (ESPN3)

Current records: Penn 4-3, Monmouth 2-3

Current KenPom rating: Penn 151, Monmouth 156

Monmouth has wins at home over Bucknell and at Lehigh, and losses at Seton Hall, at Virginia, and at UNC-Asheville.

Lead scorer and rebounder is 6-5 junior guard Micah Seaborn at 13.5 PPG/5.3 RPG.

I had originally pegged this game as a loss, however, I am looking at a close win in this one (69-65). The thing that does concern me is the fatigue factor as the Quakers have already played seven games in a short time.

Nice job by the crack ESPN graphics crew, misspelling Betley's name in the opening graphics.

3 fouls called against Penn in the first 3 minutes. The refs may be a factor in this game.

Slow start for the Quakers. Penn looking for cutters with little success in following through.

So far, we've been man to man on D and holding our own.

Wow--I had Quinn for the travel even before the announcer. So yes, it looks like refs are not doing us any favors so far.

When AJ has the ball down low like that, with no double team, he's got to just take it strong to the hoop.

The amount of fouls officials are calling make these games almost unwatchable. In Florida it was worse. But they are calling everything. 11 fouls in the first 8 minutes.

With 13 minutes to go in the first half, Monmouth is already in the bonus...

And now we are, with 10+ minutes to go.

AJ still not taking it strong to the hoop. Even when he does get a shot off, he's shying away from the bucket.

anyone on the floor for more than 5 minutes has 2 fouls. 17 fouls with 7:27 to play in the half. This is a referee fest.

And many of the "fouls" are of the ticky-tack variety.

On the plus side, we've probably gotten 3 points (net) out of the two lane violations they called.

And what a drive and finish by Scott.
