That loss doesn't look so bad, does it?

Hard to conceive why people here are so down on the Quakers and make the ridiculous conclusion that we are not improved over last year. We have shown that we have firepower far above what we showed last year. Say what you will about Monmouth, but I guarantee we would have lost by 10 or more last year to that team. We haven't yet integrated our freshmen, but have gotten out to leads in every game. When we put it all together, we will challenge for a title this year---the Ivies are not nearly as strong as anticipated. We still have some personnel moves to make, but once we have established our rotations, we will be very tough to beat in this League.

Nice win for La Salle (I think Temple will be an NCAA team). Hate losing close Big 5 games, but not a bad loss end of day.

Who is saying Penn is not better this year than last? By advanced metrics we are certainly better - we were in 180s this time last year (finished season 171), but now are 141. I actually think where people differ is the magnitude of the improvement...

Other Ivy teams are missing guys and not as good as expected originally, but we are still looking at being 3rd/4th ranked heading into league play. Certainly can compete and with Ivy tournament, especially at Palestra, anything can happen.

If we can integrate Scott more, get Williams healthy and in rotation, and find a way to get Brodeur more involved, could be a fun season. A lot of areas to improve though to get there.
