I'm seeing a couple of spots across from Rupp as possibilities for a pre-game beer.
Hop Cat is a chain with a huge beer selection.
Pies & Pints looks to be a pizza and beer joint.
A little further (but still looks walkable) are a couple of craft breweries.
I have no local knowledge. Any thoughts on place or timing?

I've never been to the Lexington location, but Pies & Pints started in WV white water rafting country and is consistently quite good.
{I'll pause for the laughing at WV, pizza, and "quite good" appearing in the same sentence.}
The Charleston location is a "go-to" recommendation for folks who are visiting town. The grape and gorgonzola pizza sounds ridiculous, but is surprisingly good. As are the pork and pepper nachos.

As a NewYorker, I was looking for a Famous Rays, but Pies and Pints will do.
I’m leaving Fullerton this morning for home and should arrive in Lexington via Cincinnati around 1:30 next Saturday.

Nice effort at UK. Restores some hope.
Seth Towns was outstanding. Hope he (and others) have fully recovered from the illness that hit the squad out West. Welcome back.
43% from three kept it respectable, but aside from Towns (6-7) everyone else shot 6-21 (29%), which is right at the team average going into the game.
Many contributed, and - like games against Kansas and Oklahoma two years ago - it was a game well into the second half. Djuricic remains impressive and his size helps make up for Harvard's lack of depth. I see him gaining more playing time.
Can Harvard win by relying on Seth, Bryce and Chris every night? It's looks like its going to be a roller coaster every Ivy league weekend. Fasten your seat belts, it's not always going to be pretty.
