Well we are sitting at 5-3 (soon to be 5 and 4). The five games all look "winnable" as opponents are not faring well. I thought Toledo might be a challenge but they just lost to Cornell.

Conversely, we assume Cornell will be easy but they just beat Toledo.

Well we have five games before Princeton, we play two bad teams this week on the road(howard and lafayette) and one more at home (del st), one ok team at home (toledo) and one better team on the road(dayton).
So hopefully 4-1 and record is 9-6

I could certainly see us winning 10 Ivy games

Record heading into the Ivy season?

My biggest question is what to make of the rest of the league at this point. Some interesting national games today across the league.

Looking at the five games coming up (Howard, Lafayette, Dayton, Delaware State, and Toledo), the Quakers could win all five if they play to their potential. I would have thought that the Dayton game would be a loss, however, they really do not look like world beaters at 4-3, losing to Hofstra and Old Dominion. So, in theory, they could go 5-0 and head into the Princeton game 10-4. The one game that concerns me is the Lafayette game. Even though the Leopards are currently 0-6, this is the one game that I could see the Quakers playing down to the competition and losing a game that they clearly should win easily, especially if it is close down the stretch and they continue their inability to make free throws.

I will say that they go 4-1, taking them to 9-5 heading into the Princeton game. They will go 10-4 in the Ivies and split with St. Joe's/Temple, giving them a 20-10 final record and the #3 slot in the tournament. From there, it is anybody's guess but, with the HYP contingent not necessarily setting the world on fire, the Quakers could steal an NCAA bid (look at other tournaments over the years and the teams that came out of nowhere to win it).

The Nova St Joe’s game provides some perspective. And their playing at St Joe’s

So you’re saying Nova might be decent?

Villanova blew out St.Joe's by 41. Don't know whether to read too much into it but 90-62 at their place does not seem as bad.

Two years ago we were blown out at Nova, threatening the NCAA record for scoring futility in the first half. Somehow we "won" the second half with 6 threes from then freshman Jackson Donahue. Much more competitive this year, good for first 8 minutes and decent for first 12 minutes. Could have been even closer if Eddie hadnt airballed a short jumper, committed a "non" foul on a missed Nova jumper, a couple less turnovers and couple of Ryan's "good" shots dropping in. Certainly have made a lot of progress over two years ago which we can all agree upon. I thought game was similar to last year's game at the palestra but better given the road circumstances and the packed "high school" gym it was played in.

Hard to be 10-4 when Penn has only played 12 games. I assume you mean 10-2, the Fairfield and LaSalle games being clearly winnable games. Even Towson was winnable but they are a really good, athletic team and Penn caught them on a night when they were hitting shots.
