Four games into the season and I'm wondering what Coach McLaughlin's "process" is. The eyeball test (at least my eyeballs) reveals some individual performance bright spots, no real team identity, and woeful defensive schemes and effort.

Can any basketball "process" ever be effective if it does not emphasize and value defense and those players who take absolute pride in getting stops! Who do you want to be Big Green? This is D1 basketball and every team has shooters/scorers. This team can be special. There are players on this team who are dedicated, competitive, hard-nose, defensive minded winners. Coach McLaughlin, must figure out a way to get these type of guys in the mix in game situations to maximize the potential of this team.

Coaches know who the workers and the winners are, and If they're honest about it, they would admit, in many cases so far this season, the most deserving, most effective players have not received the minutes they warrant (they don't have to be "your guys." What does that mean anyway? This is a 13 man team, THEY ARE ALL YOUR GUYS!).
