Tough one against a team that just handled Harvard.

Cornell is holding its own against Northeastern, down 39-36 at the half.

Morgan is leading all scorers with 14 points. He tweaked his ankle late in the first half, but he did not miss any time.

The Big Red is focusing much of its offense on the three pointer. They are 6-16 for 38%. Prior to this game, Northeastern had been holding its opponents to 30% from three.

Cornell has been shooting 43% of its attempts from three this year, but has taken 70% of today's shots from outside the arc. This season, they are top 50 in two point percentage (57%). Today, they are hitting twos at 85%, but have only taken 7 shots. If they start going cold from three, hopefully, they will quickly shift gears and take it to the rim since Northeastern doesn't have great two point defense (54% allowed).

That got out of hand, quickly.

Northeastern is up 14 with 12:30 to go in the 2nd half.

Morgan has a noticeable limp at the start of the half. He came out after 90 seconds, but can back a couple of minutes later.

Northeastern has continued to be hot from three. They are 4-7 for the half and 10-20 for the game. Cornell is 0-3. Gettings has 0 points and is 0-4 for three for the day.

Cornell loses 84-66 to 3-4 on the year.

Northeastern scored 45 points in the second half, shooting 6-12 from three and 57% overall. The Big Red scored 30, hitting 1-6 from three and only 38% overall.

For the game, the Huskies shot 57% overall and hit 12 three pointers, while Cornell shot 44% overall and 7 threes.

Morgan had a game high 24, Bathurst 10 and Julian 8. Gettings only had 2 points, both on FTs. Gettings, Warrren and Boeheim together totaled 10 points.

An 18 point road loss against a better team to head into Finals. A two week break before the team visits Longwood of the Big South on 12/16 and

It's going to be tough for the Big Red to win without Gettings playing well on offense. Not good enough on D to overcome that.

True. And 23 turnovers did not help. Cornell can outscore their D, but not with that many giveaways.
