Woods had a less-than-mediocre ORtg of 91 against LaSalle, while using 20% of possessions.
His three best ORtg games so far have been:
N. Illinois - 182/15% (a shocking 4-5 on 3s the major factor)
Dayton - 133/26%
Lafayette - 113/10%
Two of the three are among the less athletic teams we’ve played so far. Yesterday was by far his best game offensively combining production & usage.
It’s hard to see any statistical link between his Dayton, Monmouth, and LaSalle games other than the OT adding production chances in the latter two, with Monmouth the extreme outlier thanks to the constant whistles and the 4 OT periods. 13 of his 23 points that night came in the extra 20 minutes, and he ended up getting 10 points at the line overall on a very rare 14 trips to the stripe.

Not for nothing, but we are going to win most games that we make nearly 60% of our 3-point attempts... I can run the numbers, but I suspect we'd be have only the loss to Nova if we shot that percentage against the other teams we lost to...

Great win for the team. Watching the game on TV yesterday in some ways brought back very fond memories of when we beat Michigan"s Fab Five at Michigan when the FF were freshman and we had excellent upperclassman. There are obvious differences but many parallels as well (Trice returning home, and Antonio the same, both playing at the top of their games, great coaching during the game, strong start to the game to show that we belonged, back and forth tension, always wondering if the bubble would burst but never bursting, etc). Great to see Sam Jones hitting threes at crucial moments. He has had a number of those games in the past, including one at Columbia when he was a freshman. Penn basketball is relevant and fun to watch again. A very warm welcome back.

Not exactly. We won at Michigan on 12/13/94, when what was left of the Fab Five (Jimmy King and Ray Jackson) were seniors. Chris Webber went hardship after his sophomore season, while Jalen Rose and Juwan Howard left after their junior seasons. But let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story....

Fake News. It was not my voice anyway. Surely, I have license to remember what happened in the way I have chosen to recollect what happened irrespective of the videos confirming the contrary.

Current state of things: Yale looks quite solid, even without Mason. And he is scheduled to return. Freshman Atkinson a Rookie of the Year candidate. Penn has a lot of weapons and the home court. Harvard's a mystery...waiting for all that talent to explode. Princeton is no mystery. You just don't replace Weisz and Cook very easily. Will have to get a lot better to make the tournament. Ivy opener at the Palestra should tell us a lot.
