More good publicity for Nana and Zach. Hopefully, they play up to their billing these next few games.

They also need to be working a lot on the press break. Mike Rhoades fully embraces the Shaka Smart philosophy of 40 minutes of full court pressure ("havoc").

Personally, I have seen glimpses of the Fallon that can be, but he has not lived up to his hype this year. I hope that a long Winter Break will help him get back to where he was at the end of last season.

Before anybody says look at his stats, I think that some of the stats are hollow and have been padded toward the end of games where Bucknell's loss was already decided.
New season, new team, new dream . . .

Here's a post I made back in May that had these connections and several others between VCU's staff and Bucknell and/or the Patriot League:

Kimball still said to be “out indefinitely.” Anybody hearing any kind of an outlook on his return?

I would not count on seeing him before Feb. I have no knowledge, just guessing abdominal surgery is going to knock him out at least two months.

As far as I can tell, it does not appear that the A10 network makes any provision for archiving, thus one cannot watch game after the fact. Appreciate if anyone has info to counter this statement. BTW, that makes A10 even worse than Stadium. It is a pay network and no archives.

That's certainly possible. I found four pro athletes who had this surgery. They were out anywhere from 4-8 weeks, with an average return to actual games in six weeks. The initial prognoses for the four were given as 4-6 weeks, 3-4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 6-8 weeks. The one with the 6-8 week estimate was indeed out the longest (55 days) and the one with the 3-4 week estimate returned to game action in the shortest time (30 days) - so it may well be that there are different factors affecting return time.

Btw, all four of those players initially continued to play with the injury but found it wasn't improving - so there clearly must be cases where surgery turns out not to be necessary.

One other thing. It appears that "torn abdominal muscle" and "sports hernia" are at least some of the time used interchangeably in articles. The recovery time for ahtletes said to have sports hernia surgery has also usually been 4-8 weeks in a much larger sample size.

The fact that they are sticking to “indefinitely” suggests it will not be the lower end of the time spectrum.

I agree. It’s highly unlikely Kimbal will play again this season. In the interest of his wealth and wellbeing, they’ll shut him down rather than rush him.

I have the opposite view. I think it's likely that he will play, although it may not come until the end of January. Based on what I have read, there should be no risk to his wellbeing once he is cleared by the doctors.

Not news I hoped to hear. Did they say why Moore is out?
