Up 4 under 4:00. Great hustle play by Jones. Glad to see Coach Davis heard me.

Don't think Richmond will get to 80 now.

Phaeacian! That would have been a bad one to lose. Hot 1st for Richmond, but our defense was awful. Good second half for us though. No panic!

Wish Zach had been more aggressive in the 1st half. He played great in the 2nd. We'll take it. Looking forward to Lasalle.

Credit to Bucknell for a much better 2nd half. Still cannot continually give up 80 points. Good team effort and thankfully Zach had a big game. Bruce Moore almost as productive as he was against VCU, not sure what’s up with him.

Textbook finish. Guard the arc and make them settle for 2s without fouling, get the ball in cleanly and make your free throws. Sounds so simple, but rarely executed that well. Credit to the poise we showed at the end.

I just chalked it up to your classical education. I figured you were using it in the same way that Perry White used to exclaim, "Great Caesar's ghost!"

I was impressed with Meeks in the first half. Only played 7 minutes in the game but had 9 points. He just seems to know where to be on the court. Cuts to the basket at the right time and is good for an easy layup at least once a game

What was the story on Bruce Moore? Started but didn't get a lot of minutes.

I only listened to the game but according to birdsong Bruce kept getting beat defensively so he may have been sat for poor play. The game seemed to change when Jones subbed in for Bruce after the "and 1" Bruce gave up on the first possession of the second half.

At VCU, I was happy to see Avi walking around without a boot. But at Richmond, he was back on two crutches with injured leg/foot in a sock.

63, I was about to Google "Phaeacian". I thought that it might be some colloquial saying.

Glad I invoked the "in-game" and "12 hour rule" last night. The 1st half was excruciating - would rather have spent it at Guantanamo.

Give credit where credit is due...Bison "wrung the towel" in the 2nd half!!!

Concerns/General Observations:

1. SB has struggled defensively 3 straight games - Pusica, Williams and last night Gilyard

2. Bruce was mentally out of sorts all evening (shot decision on 3 from deep corner, bad pass that led to run out, beat 3X on back cuts with two "and 1's")

3. Refusal to tactically show zone in 1st half (decision is borne out by final result but Zach hit two "Kyrie/Kobe-esque 3's and a running shovel layup that while truly amazing are not the kind of % conversions you want to rely on to pull games out of the fire). In light of #2 above I would love to test a 2-3 with Zach, Nana & Nate S in the back

4. Transition D

5. Type of TO's by Zach & Nana (9 @ VCU/7 last night) that lead to run-outs and make #4 above seem even worse because opposing teams then have numbers.

Agree with JDB2010 - Meeks has shown a nose for the basket all year. He's a real "tweener" though with respect to OOC defensive play but should be fine in PL.

Fantastic hustle and momentum play by Nate Jones last night in the second half. He missed a three and chased down his own rebound. As his trajectory took him flying out of bounds, he whipped the ball into the paint. Zach came up with the hard fought 50/50 ball and Nana was fouled in the act of shooting.

i did not see either of the Richmond games, but surprised no comments on Nana's rebounding. 14 and 10 in the games, after averaging about 4 ytd, what has changed? more aggressive, going after out of area?

Meeks will be (is) a very good offensive player, needs to improve his defense. expect he will spend most of his time at the 4 rather than 3 despite his height.

Nope. Just iPhone knowing better than I do what I am trying to say.
