Incredible. To take a punch like that in regulation, and get off the mat in OT on the road, that’s heart.
And the big 3 plus Much and Derosiers holding their own against a big time opponent. Now we need to find three or four guys to fill out a rotation. Who wants to step up?

19 assists vs. 10 turnovers. That's more like it. How the heck did we out-rebound these guys?

MAJOR CONGRATS TO THE WHOLE TEAM.
Never gave up. Didn't play scared. For me, the stat of the game is 19 PFs committed despite none in the last 8:30 of the game. I like that. It shows grit and energy.
Minus two short stretches, the guys were aggressive tonight. Constant doubles inside, getting up into players' faces, and if you foul them? SO WHAT. USC only shot 65% from the line tonight anyway.
Myles obviously carried the team across the finish line, but I was very impressed by Much and Desrosiers. Cal Poly or USC, they just look more comfortable now. Still some things to clean up, but the game is starting to slow down for them.

Can someone who had TV coverage expand on why Walton was especially annoying tonight?

There was a stretch where Metu was unstoppable, then in OT he disappeared, anyone able to see what happened? Was it the switch to zone?

I did - and I may be bias but in a tight game he becomes very dramatic.
Examples: Tigers miss 2 of 6 or so free throws toward the end of the game. On those 2 misses, it's the end of the world and the "tigers deserve to lose the game"
A bad inbound equates to "the tigers deserve to lose the game because they can't inbound"
...but then when they do the right thing, it's almost as if he forgot any of those mentions.

Tigers def doubled him up. They forced someone else to beat them, and MH's strategy worked.

I will say I was totally surprised on the amount of coverage Princeton got from a program perspective.
PAC-12 Network spoke about a lot of history, including some big names from the past with portraits and stories. They also spoke a lot about Mitch and how he has changed the Princeton offense to what it is today.
Nate Walton went to Princeton, so I think that had a big impact on the programming tonight.
Lastly, there were A LOT of Princeton folks at the game b/w texts I had with people there and all the orange I saw on TV. Nate Walton estimated somewhere around 300 in a very empty arena.

Yeah, they were smothering him at that point. With about 5m left in regulation I'm pretty sure I saw Mitch shout, "No foul!" and that's when the guys went soft on Metu and he went off for 4 buckets.
To be fair, we were up 7 and looking good, so I guess Mitch didn't want to give USC freebies with the clock stopped. But I'm always of the opinion that you stick with whatever got you the lead in the first place.

Wow. Just like the FSU thriller from a few years ago, I can't watch the best game of the year. Hope there's a replay somewhere. Sounds like the Tigers followed the formula of doubling down low and USC indeed did not have that many assists.
Box score standouts: Nearly equal shooting and rebounding percentages, but PU with way more trey attempts and more makes, and PU with eight more FTAs and FT makes. Much was muchly efficient out there and stuffed the scoresheet. Bell with 9 assists and 5 steals is huge. Cannady not shooting great but still effective with all those FTs. Stephens also efficient and prolific.
Huge win, and very nice to see that the coalescing good play on both ends shown against Monmouth and then against Cal Poly was not a mirage. If they can further gel and get pieces like Gladson and Morales back, I can see some Ivy dominance. No Aririguzoh, no LeBlanc, and of course no Morales or Gladson in this game--I think this team ought to have enough depth for the Ivy season.

I could never stand him when he did NBA games for NBC--super annoying. Nothing new here.

I watched the game only up to the point where Tigers were up 20-14 and then checked the half time score on IPhone. It was good to see that Boatwright, 6'10" did not play although Mitch went with Brennan and Much in the starting lineup. Tigers came out confident and looked like the team of late although USC pushed them way out. Tigers did box out and fought for rebounds which was a good sign.
Brennan was really disappointing as this game was clearly a game that needed to step up and he did not. He has talent but he does not translate on the court.
Great win for Tigers. If anyone hears about a replay, let us know. Irony is that they may play USC again within the next week.
Good night for Ivies and hopefully, league wide improved play is around the corner. The Big 3 are playing outstanding and confident basketball and Henderson/Kittles are coaching.

According to USC Head Coach Andy Einfeld, there were 4 regular's not playing for USC
“You had a lot of points, rebounds, assists and defense sitting on the sidelines tonight,†coach Andy Enfield said. “But that’s not an excuse for why we lost.

Sounds like one to me. Bill Walton, in the Pac12 Network recap, "Princeton was the better team. I will never forget I WAS HERE!" He also mentioned the fact that a lot of alums were in attendance. Must have been a wild time.

If I were a USC fan, I would be annoyed at the constant discussion of the Princeton team and the history and players by the commentators.

Those 3 regulars have accounted for 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game (Melton has yet to play this season).
It was a great job by Princeton to pull it out after almost pulling a massive choke job in regulation. And USC will probably have a impressive resume by season's end. But that will probably be a very different team than the one Princeton played last night.
