La Salle Game 12-22-17 07:14 PM - Post#241063

Article doesn’t have information about LaSalle...they still have Richmond info included...but I’m guessing Johnson has a big night for the Explorers. LaSalle has played some good games...tough opponent even if we are at full strength. We have to play solid basketball all game tonight, can’t afford to get down like at Richmond, in my opinion.

Looks like Bucknell is playing the "invisible man" defense again.

We’re up 41-34 but in many ways seems a bit lethargic first half. LaSalle getting to the hoop but not finishing. Defense is a bit fortunate the Explorers aren’t finishing many of these drives, although we have disrupted a few shots. Nana with a huge half...he and Stephen are the only players with more than two shots. The other three starters are a combined 1-4.

Too many turnovers but a great game otherwise. Nana has been a monster! If Zach gets going watch out.

Wow, solid win. Will the real Bucknell Bison please stand up?
BTW, if Foulland plays like that in PL games, he will DOMINATE the league.
Go Bison!

Good win! I predicted 6 ooc wins, we got 6 wins, so how come I feel like we underachieved? Good though to win 2 straight against A10 teams to wrap up ooc.

Because Monmouth and Maryland, perhaps VCU, were winnable games we let get away. And we clearly under-performed at St. Joe's and Northeastern. I feel good heading into PL play. Navy looks like the toughest challenger and we don't see them until Jan 24. Maybe Kimbal and Avi will be back by then.

Yes, minus two key players this was a decent win, although LaSalle was missing perhaps their best player. Still, giving up 81 points is too many, in my view. We outrebounded them but then again, they played a guard-oriented lineup. Still, a win is a win and we did some very good things on offense. Hate to think what would happen if we didn’t have one of our seniors. Nice to see Ben be aggressive on that drive and dunk. Still not sure when the all-League ability of Bruce will surface.
I predicted 7 OOC wins, so I can’t be too disappointed. But I guess I see what could have been in a few games and it seems we underachieved to a point. But I feel we can certainly do very well in the PL. and when Kimbal and Avi come back and get into game shape, we should hit our stride.

At Army on 1/5 will be tough. Pomeroy, who makes us the favorite in all our remaining games only has us winning by one in that one. So it is a tossup.

Maybe Kimbal and Avi will be back by then.
Avi was on crutches tonight with a brace immobilizing his knee. Appears to be a new injury - not the stress fracture. I am not optimistic that we will see him any time soon.

I was unable to see the game. Aside from the dunk, how did Robertson look getting more minutes? What is keeping him from getting more? This team doesn’t play defense anyway so it can’t be that.
