Hope you continue to be good luck charm with initial post. Thought that the odds would be slightly higher but Vegas probably believes that Akron will rebound from getting pounded last night with extra effort this evening.

Let's hope that the Tigers do not follow the tracks of Crimson today. Irony is that Steeves smoked them although no Aikens or Baker but .... Cornell is down by 11 to Niagara at home with 15 minutes to go. It is not pretty.

Zips got demoralized against USC when the Trojans went to their tricky 2-3 almost-matchup zone and completely frustrated them. All that length led to a ton of deflections and forced shots. Before that, Akron looked athletic and determined. If the Tigers shoot OK and protect the lane they should be fine.

USC didn't start to pull away against Akron until Boatwright was ejected on a flagrant 2 in the second half. Their other guys were great down the stretch, especially Stewart and Metu.

Should be an interesting match up between USC and MT -- for some unknown reason, I like USC. Tigers better come ready to play == no snoozing.

Brian Earl brought Cornell back to 1 pt deficit but they lost by 3 pts. I have a feeling that Cornell is going to get better under his tutelage.

Zips only shoot 63% from the charity stripe and turn the ball over a lot.

MT/USC 37-37 with 4 minutes left in well played 1st half. How did Tigers stay competitive with these guys??

Tigers playing Bell, Young, Arririguzoh, Sheeiger, Desrosiers. Not a good look but good rest for most starters. Down 4 again.

Bell gives me stomach acid. Where is the team that beat USC? Gotta go for a walk.

Bell's TO was more than compensated for by a number of great drives.

Tigers really looking rough. Down 5 . Oh for 8 from three. Terrible dry spell. Zips are big and strong but Tigers should take these guys. Good test to see if they can grit one out on a night when the shots just aren't dropping.

Given unusually bad three-point percentage and some Akron-favorable calls inside, not too bad, although PU does look sluggish sometimes, especially Stephens on offense. Aririguzoh doing the job protecting the rim, looking pretty good.

Really ragged play. Down 7 and hard to watch.
