As I said previously, if we did not see it in OOC we will not see it in PL. I never saw a RM game but ND’s winning % suggests he had quite a personnel advantage. We run with a philosophy that we will use more people (because we’re deeper) and we will wear you down over 40 minutes by throwing fresh bodies at you and being in a better personal foul situation late. Don’t think it works well in OOC or when you get down significantly after 1. Also, you have to have a vision that you will always have bodies coming thru the pipeline and therefore your strategy can be self-propagating. I think there’s a danger in that as well. Doesn’t appear we scared anybody OOC.

He definitely likes to get in a lot of players - but last year he dramatically reduced the rotation down the stretch. For example, against West Virginia only two subs played 10+ minutes and only one other sub saw 5+ minutes. Against LU, only two subs saw 10 minutes of action and no others saw 5+ minutes. Similarly, in the two other tournament games, only two subs saw 10+ minutes.

So when he really wanted to win, he suddenly stopped the "play everyone, wear them down" philosophy. It will be interesting to see what happens when/if all the injured players return.

I don't see how he can not play Sestina, Sotos, & Moore given their recent performance. Robertson has also stepped up his game recently.

Once Kimbal and Avi return to at least 80%, I don’t think Sestina, Moore or Sotos are questionable...they are absolutely in the rotation. Personally, I think O’Reilly will only see time in a blowout and perhaps Meeks as well. Jones and Robertson may get a few first half minutes. As the games get more important, Davis def has a history of shortening his bench, which I do not dislike.

I think Sestina needs to be in the game as much as possible considering his production.

Great point. Saw a few random Patriot games on TV and the teams you mentioned plus 1-2 more really have a hard time with zone but appear to feast on man defense.
