Thank you Dr. V for posting the story on Maka Ellis. Scary what happened to him and his friends, but appears he is going to be ok. Ellis looks to be a Special Player.

What's nice is that Ike Nweke, our recruit from Georgetown Prep, reprinted this post about his fellow recruit from out in Las Vegas:

Make finished his season last night when his team lost in the first round of the playoffs. He finished his h.s. career with 2,000 points and his school retired his number.

We already know who has the inside track for 4 positions next year--Tape at center, Meisner at PF, Smith at PG, and probably Adlesh/Stefanini at SG. Can Ellis defend? Could he compete with Hunter and Hanson for SF?

Unfortunately, highlight tapes usually only demonstrate offense rather than defense, so it's difficult to tell, until one sees him trying to defend some D-1 players, how strong or weak he is on D at this point. That he is a very good offensive player with size is, however, clear.

Regarding next year, another player who will be competing at the 3 is Killingsworth.

Will CJ Davis be back in the mix as a backup PG? Where do we see Bibbs? I expect that Faulds and Hanson will be in the mix as well? What about our other front court recruit, who looks more like an undersized PF?
