Note that this game is on Monday (unlike all other PL games this weekend, which are on Sunday). Televised by CBS Sports Network.
This is the opener of one of the toughest two-game PL travel stretches the Bison have had in years. They play at Hamilton on Monday evening, return by bus at about 1:30 AM (maybe later), get up for Tuesday morning classes, hop on a bus that afternoon to head for Baltimore for a Loyola game on Wednesday. No-one in the PL has a comparable two-game stretch this year. The Bison have three Monday-Wednesday doubles this year - but this one is the toughest in terms of travel.
Colgate is a very experienced team that some picked for 2nd in the PL. Figures to be a very tough game.

Remember last year when no team that had played on Monday was able to win on Wed. If the Bison cannot end that streak you can rack up 3 more “L’s.â€

To be specific, the teams that played on Monday nights last year - thus playing with two days less rest than their opponent - ended up with an 0-10 record in the games played two nights later.
However if that precedent holds, the Bison might only be in line for two losses. I was mistaken when I said the Bison have three Monday-Wednesday doubles. While they have three separate spans with two games squeezed into three days, only two are Monday-Wednesday. The other one is Saturday-Monday, which is much fairer since both teams on Monday will have played on Saturday. Thus equal rest, although Lehigh (the opponent for the Monday game) has two consecutive home games and thus a bit of an advantage.
Over the past two years, there have only been two occasions where a team with two games in three days had to do them both on the road. This week's Bucknell trip to Colgate and then to Loyola is one. And Holy Cross last year had to play at Bucknell on a Monday night and then at Lafayette on a Wednesday night. They lost at LC by 10 points in a game where they were a nominal 6-point favorite. Don't know if they returned to Worcester after playing in Lewisburg or simply went straight to Easton.

I recall that HC went straight to Easton from Bucknell. This is a tough stretch with 6 of 8 games on the road (this is the 4th), but this pair is the toughest travel-wise.

If Bucknell pounds it inside and drives to the hoop (instead of settling for threes) they will draw fouls and beat Colgate handily, even on the road. I don’t know if Colgate’s coach plays zone at all but if he does, expect to see it.

Nana has a great chance tonight to move up in the rankings of all time scoring category. Currently he is #10 all-time at Bucknell.

What’s the over/under on announced attendance in the basketball crazy Mecca of Hamilton?

My guess. Announced attendance: 525. Actual fans in the gym: 300.

Crowd could be tougher than normal, however. If Colgate's athletes choose to turn out - and occasionally they do for TV games - it could be somewhat noisy. Their men's and women's lacrosse, hockey, swimming, and track teams are all back. Possibly a few other teams as well.

Still doubt there's more than 300 even with the Golgate athletes. A little noise might help our guys as much as theirs. Nobody likes to play in a silent gym.

20 points will jump him ahead of Mike Joseph, Cam Ayers, Chris McNaughton, and Jaye Andrews. Pretty good company. Zach is currently #12 and, barring disaster, will certainly work into the top 10 by seasons end. They are #10 & 14 in career rebounds.

Not a good showing for the first half. They will probably win the game though.

Wish they wouldn't wait until the 2nd half to get the offense going.

Gonna win...but a tough shooting nite. With another 18 turnovers, we’re fortunate Colgate is shooting considerably worse than Bucknell. But glad for the win.

They really turned the D up a notch at the end of the first half and into the second. While the turnovers in the first half were absolutely maddening, the ball movement was much better in the second and you can really see the difference in confidence when Mackenzie's on the floor. It's going to be tough 48 hour turnaround but it should be happy ride back to Lewisburg tonight.

Didn't understand reasoning behind some of the early subs. Wish Nathan would at times raise his voice to get team playing in sync and let the refs know he is still there.

Have to say, I like the way they have turned up the defense, since it gives them a way to win even if the shots are not falling. The last two games the defense has kept them in. I also think that will be the case more and more often as the league teams know how to defend us better than teams that have not seen us before.
