Guys, GMoney89 just sent me a text message that he has not been able to log into this board for a while. He tried contacting the webmaster, but no response so far.
Any idea of how he can reset or recover his login?

On the main index page, when you are not logged in, there is a "login" button near the top. When you go to that page, there is an option that says "I forgot my password!". When you click on that option, it takes you to a screen that says it will send you a password reset if you input your ID and email address. Do you know if he tried that option?

So perhaps I am back able to post now. As some of you know, I've moved from Switzerland to the west coast of our great nation and am enjoying watching most games at 4 in the afternoon as I'm still a Stay at Home Dad. If anybody on here is also in the Bay area let me know.

Darn, I knew I should have asked the Marketing/PR guy!
But seriously, a big thankyou to B89 for helping me to get back here. I have been able to read but not comment since about mid september. I kept trying to appease to the admins where and whom ever they are and was getting no where. Even the new id took more than 1 week or two to get activated.

Has anyone else been having problems accessing this board from an iPhone lately? I keep getting spam pop ups telling me I won an Amazon gift card. Doesn’t seem to happen from PCs...Only from my phone

Yes. I get the Amazon pop up continually. Today has been the worst. I have cleared my history on my phone, restarted...still these stinking redirections to the Amazon card thing. Not sure how to report it or how to stop it. To be fair it happens from other pages as well, but it is worst from this forum.

I have gotten it here occasionally, but the worst is the Lafayette forum where it pops up constantly.

This is definitely “a thing.†I just read through many of 19 pages dedicated to this problem on Apple Support community. That said, there were no good fixes suggested. Apple’s answer was to clear browser history (which does NOT work in th least.) Another guy suggested clearing browser history while on Airplane mode, then turning off JavaScript, then restarting your phone. He also suggested keeping JavaScript off, but that doesn’t make for good web browsing. While this problem occurs on several sites, it occurs repeatedly while I visit this site. If anyone hears of a real fix, let us know.

Unfortunately (and speaking from some knowledge), there's no "local" solution to this problem. There's a JS exploit present on my websites that generates this issue and, until its fixed, you have to manage as best you can. Clearing browser history and cookies helps temporarily but, once you re-visit a victimized website, you're back @ square 1. I can say the latest iOS update helps a bit.
If you use a non-Apple phone, use a browser that has an incognito setting. Outside that, you're (and I'm) SoL.

Was happening yesterday and today to me every 20-30 seconds, and that isn’t an exaggeration. I switched browsers from Safari to Firefox and so far have not had one incident. Knock on silicon.

Yesterday was perfect. Today, I stopped checking the board on my phone b\c every time I loaded it up, the damn pop-up came.
Maybe in the off-season (...In 3 weeks!) we should look for a new board in case this one is on its way out.

FWIW, UPenn uses this platform too, and they have a similar thread going on the issue.
However, an Ivy Grad seems to have noted he found a way to get rid of the awful pop-ups. Maybe he can come over here and share his wisdom
