Women up 35-29 at half. Bit surprising, since this is easily the best ranked Nova team since our current run started. Shooting well overall and from 3, and seem to be doing a better job against the Wildcat ball movement than usual; quite a few turnovers forced already. Let's see if they can keep shooting and stop the adjustment that you know is coming

Still 54-51. Not shooting as well, but hanging in on defense

I'd rather beat Princeton. But beating Nova is really, really great.

Great win for the Quakers!
First victory over Villanova since 2001 and the third all-time. Princeton had lost to the Wildcats by 3 at Jadwin around Thanksgiving.

Parker ended up with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Nwokedi had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Whitlatch scored 16 points (4 threes) and 5 assists. Ross totaled 11 points, 8 assists with only 1 turnover.
They only shot 26% from three (6-23), but 57% from two (25-44) and 92% from the free throw line (11-12).
They allowed Villanova to get 39% from three (12-31), 52% from two (13-25) and 83% from the line (15-18).
A big difference was points in the pain, where Penn had a 40-18 advantage.
Big Five Standings
Villanova 3-1
Penn 2-1
Temple 2-1
La Salle 1-2
St. Joes's 0-3
If Penn beats Temple on the road next Wednesday night, they will earn a share of the Big Five title.

Terrific win for the Quakers. I saw Villanova play in Princeton and I was impressed by their talent, their coaching and their poise in a game the Tigers could have won.

Maybe they can teach the men how to shoot foul shots.

Not the same Princeton team as when we lost to Villanova. Wish we had then later in the season.
