And there’s the makeup call the other way. Robinson barely brushes Wood with his off arm on a drive and gets called.

Unusual lineup of A.J. with four wings of Wood, Woods, Silpe and Jones. Sam immediately hits a 3 to grab the lead.

Antonio Woods measures up a 3 with no one within 15 feet of him. Clank.

Jake with two more plays that you won't see in the box score. Great pass to AJ that he fumbles and then he forces a travel on d. Love it.

SJU looking like Penn against Temple, missing on a number of chances at the rim.

Big Brodeur block coming around a high screen. Still SJU ball, but a travel kills the possession.

Awesome Woods feed to Simmons on the pick-n-roll, but Simmons blows the layup.

SJU forces an A.J. turnover, then blows the layup in transition. Silpe passes up an open corner 3, Penn looks disjointed, and then he commits the unforced TO.

Second good low post move by Brodeur puts Penn back up 4. But can’t keep them off the glass at the other end and it’s back to 26-24 at final media timeout of half.

Very ugly right now.

But A.J. gets a big o board, and dishes to a cutting Wood for the layup.

Now Betley turns another o board into a putback. 30-24 Penn.

Caleb with another 3 pushes lead to 33-25, but Newkirk with another pull-up in 8-10 foot range to cut lead back to 6.

1:15 left in half.

I don't understand what a foul is anymore. These refs are so inconsistent

Woods fouled on drive with 5 on shot clock, misses front end of 1-and-1.

Then lets Demry get too deep on drive and fouls him.

Long delay as Martelli argues officials counted team fouls wrong and Woods should never have shot that FT.

Misses second FT, but Penn can’t get the defensive board and SJU gets chance to cut further into 5-point deficit.

Brodeur leaves his feet on shot fake, fouls Funk. Who of course makes both FTs.
