Don't forget it is Senior Night tomorrow, so those who are attending be sure to arrive early. This senior class is the first one in PL history to win four consecutive regular season outright titles.

Zach currently has a commanding lead among PL players in both scoring and rebounding. He can become only the fifth player to win both titles in PL history:

Adonal Foyle, Colgate 1995-96 20.2 ppg/12.6 rpg

Adonal Foyle, Colgate 1996-97 24.4 ppg/13.1 rpg

Kevin Hamilton, Holy Cross 2005-06 17.6 ppg/6.3 rpg

Mike Muscala, Bucknell 2012-13 18.7 ppg/11.1 rpg

Tim Kempton, Lehigh 2016-17 20.4 ppg/10.4 rpg

Zach Thomas, Bucknell 2017-18 21.1 ppg/9.3 rpg

Over the past 20 seasons, only two PL players have averaged over 21.1 ppg - CJ McCollum (21.9 ppg and 21.8 ppg) and Greg Sprink (21.8 ppg)

The career stats for this senior class are truly amazing. I won't list them all here, but it's an impressive list. We won't see a class like this again for a long while.

The three are on the PL all-time lists in a number of categories:

Nana:

- 5th place in career rebounds (22 away from 4th)
- 13th in career points
- 6th in career blocks (13 away from 3rd)

Zach:

- 18th in career points (21 points from 14th)
- 10th in career rebounds (40 away from 7th place)

Stephen:

- 8th in career assists (22 away from 6th place)
- 80th in career scoring (65 points away from 68th)
- 16 steals away from 25th.

What makes Zach's accomplishments particularly impressive is that he was buried on the bench for half of his freshman year, playing a total of 17 minutes in the team's first 15 games. In the 16th game, he finally got to play and scored 21 points in 20 minutes. Then he tweaked his ankle and saw his minutes cut for the next eight games. And he wasn't a starter for much of his sophomore year, generally playing behind Dom and getting only 20 mpg.

Sprink was a baller. I wonder if he is still in the Navy.
New season, new team, new dream . . .

It will be interesting tonight to monitor the conduct of Navy forward Tom Lacey. In the game at Annapolis, he gave a two-handed shove to Zach (I think) on a layup and was called for a flagrant foul. And isn't he also the one who, in last year's league semifinal, looked like he was going to start a fight with Zach?

Yes, it is quite amazing what this senior class has accomplished individually and with the team. As far as individual stats are concerned, they are very impressive. Obviously benefitted from style of play, but still, you still have to be good. It would be a shame if this group doesn’t finish out their time with another trip to The Big Dance. I absolutely appreciate each of the seniors, but man, Stephen Brown is good.

Stephen is often under appreciated. Besides heading toward the top 20 in scoring, he is about to pass Pat Flannery for 3rd in career assists. To me he is the key to the success of this team.

Injury isn't related to the injury he had surgery on

Yeah, I'm guessing that's what he tweaked at Holy Cross. Came up lame, went to the locker room to get checked out, and quickly re-entered the game. I appreciate the precaution, groin strains can be nagging.

He had an amazing game. Wish he'd made that last 3. I think 25 is a career high regardless.

Late finding this, but this Navy preview also has an interview with John Meeks:

If Stephen Brown isn’t first team all-PL we should storm the League office. It’s not Bucknell’s fault we have the best PG, forward and center in the League and the players shouldn’t be penalized they are on the same team.

Walker and Nelson are the other two IMHO.

Agree 100% on Brown. I think there are a lot of candidates for the spots on the team other than Nana and Zach. Other than SB, I think Kahron Ross and Matt Klinewski both are in the running. Walker and Nelson certainly are as well, but their teams being the two worst in the league can't help them in the voting. A month ago I thought Hankerson had a good shot, but his injury likely has cost him. One other possible name is Will Rayman, who is the best player on the second best team. I see him more as a second teamer but who knows. And a candidate who is finishing with a late charge is Jehyve Floyd. Navy's Shawn Anderson was a preseason 1st teamer but generally he hasn't played as well as expected. He will make one of the teams, but I think 1st team is unlikely.
