Man, has the defense been intense to start. Shot clock violation, forced travel, blocked shot - done it all on the first several possessions. Mcalaughlin forced to the early TO, down 9-0 at 16:39.

20-11 at the under 8:00 TO, after the Quakers had pushed the lead to as much as 10 just prior. Some very nice interior passing, and the defensive intensity has been consistent.

Under 4:00 timeout, Penn up 11 at 28-17 after leading by as much as 13 following a Wood 3 from the wing. Long stretch of 4 wings with 1 big. DC well-coached enough to attack that by posting one of their bigs against a guard, but not able to stop Penn offense st the other end.

Penn 39 Dartmouth 19 HALF.
Late 3s by Betley (against the zone) and Wood (in transition) helped open things up big. A late Emery putback only kept it as close as 20.

Nice to see the team really floor the pedal while we had the advantage. Let’s hope this keeps up and we can get some good bench minutes to save legs for the starters tomorrow.
In general the guys like Max and Antonio look a lot fresher so hope we can still see that tomorrow.

Max hasn't come back out after walking to the locker room hurt. Couldn't tell if it was cramping or he pulled something but he was rubbing his knee/inner thigh area. Was a non contact play too. Not good.
