The federal investigation into college basketball corruption is getting pretttttty interesting. Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan State, among a lot of other blue blood programs, are some of the early names. And it was just announced that there's a wire tap of Arizona head coach Sean Miller negotiating a $100,000 payment to secure the services of likely top-3 draft pick Deandre Ayton.

What's particularly interesting for us, though, is that guys we just missed out on like Wendell Carter and Malcolm Brogdon are some of the recent players who were receiving impermissible benefits.

Yeah, and it isn't easy to out-bid Harvard.

Clearly Amaker has a few things to learn from his old coach.

My son said to me last night, "so we get to yell 'shoprite' tomorrow, right?"

It's funny in a way, because Princeton's Hard Cuts promotional videos stress to the point of tedium how basketball players can expect special access to an alumni network eager to help them set up their careers. Perfectly legal, I'm sure, because technically anyone can talk to alumni, but the special access bit, similar to stuff Amaker brags about, sort of feels like an athlete's-only benefit.
