Has Mr. James or anyone else figured out the 4th seed permutations? Thank you.

I tried to go through all the tiebreaker scenarios here: https://twitter.com/whitakk/status/967765 453195153...

Upshot is Columbia is in with a sweep, or with a split as long as Cornell/Brown does not upset Harvard/Penn. Also a chance to get in at 5-9 but would take a lot of help.

Thank you. Based on your permutations, it would seem as if Columbia's best strategy would be to do the necessary to win Friday night. What do you think?

For clarification, I meant playing time.

You mean do everything possible to win Friday, and not hold anything back for Saturday? I think that’s right. Got to win the game in front of you. Then worry about the next one after you win Friday.

Yes, I agree with you that figuratively speaking Columbia needs to approach its Friday's night game with Dartmouth as if there would be "no tomorrow" for the Lions which appears likely be the case if they lose to Dartmouth. Defeating Harvard at home in Cambridge appears to be a much greater task. Moreover, unlike what happens in baseball pennant races that have already been decided, the basketball teams that have already clinched playoff spots most certainly will be going full throttle. Indeed, I can't see Penn or Harvard losing to anyone this weekend so a split should do it for Columbia.

I think if Harvard is playing for #1, they’ll go full throttle. If not, it will be senior night, and conceivably there could be a lot of run for deeper reserves.

Any news on Tape? He left the game early in the 2nd half with what looked like an ankle sprain. We need his interior defense.

Good question, forgot to ask postgame. From what I saw he didn't get much attention from the trainer (only a quick conversation on the bench), which is probably a good sign, but who knows.
