We're Number 4! We're Number 4!
I doubt that catches on.
It probably says more about the quality of the league than Cornell, but we'll take the second chance. The Big Red has a puncher's chance if Morgan and Gettings are on fire next weekend. Two guys capable of going for a 50+ points combined isn't an awful option in a one and done scenario.
Earl has yet to beat any of the other teams in the ILT. No time like the present.

Brian Earl is a hero to many generations of Tiger fans and is a tremendous asset to the whole Ivy basketball community. You must admire the way he has coached his team. They kept playing hard all the time, at least after the first Princeton game. Sadly ironic for Tiger fans that our tournament chances were dealt a death blow by the Big Red, who overcame a 21 point second half deficit to get into OT when Amir Bell missed a FT with 4 tenths of a second remaining. Good luck to Matt Morgan and company at the Palestra. Congratulations to Coach Earl.

Will have more to post at a later time, but I am thrilled that the Big Red made it to #4!
A much deserved reward for a team that was blown out of the water in the first three Ivy games and looked absolutely shell shocked after giving up all those threes to Columbia in game #3.
The team and the coaches deserve a great deal of credit for the effort over the last few weeks.
One little thing for now - Barry Leonard has been calling Matt Morgan "The Magic Man" for the last several weeks. I think it Leonard would go full Talladega Nights and start calling Gettings "El Diablo". The two of them could show up at the Friday Palestra shoot around in warmups with the nicknames on the back and the team could wear "If You're Not First, You're Last!" t-shirts.
