Woohoo, Vermont goes down on a last second 3!
UMBC had lost 23 consecutive games to Vermont.

We have to be a 13 now.
I think that's far from certain. Many had us as one of the lower 14 seeds. Palm updated his bracket after UMBC beat Vermont and still has us a 14, but now playing Michigan State in Wichita.

LA Lafayette lost.
Charleston got the bump to the 13 after Vermont lost in Palm’s bracket. I bet we get the bump now.

Palm did move us up to a 13...Playing Auburn in San Diego. I'd sign up for that right now.
The team that has me nervous is Kentucky. Especially if they win tomorrow, they may play themselves onto the 4 line.

Davidson could bump us down a spot if they beat URI in the A-10 final.

I'd be interested to see where Stephen F Austin would get seeded if they win tonight. SE Louisiana is the one seed in their conference and projected as a 15 or 16 but I feel like Stephen F Austin could be seeded better than that and somewhere in our vicinity.

What about the fact that the last few times in this process we have been seeded better than everyone’s projections. That’s what it feels like at least. I mean we aren’t a stranger to the committee and I think a 12 seed or maybe 13 is in order.

If Buffalo & or Western Kentucky lose I think the committee may give us a 12 but we are a lock for 13 now
Throw New Mexico St into that as well

I don't think you need to worry about SFA. Their current RPI is 108, and they have a horrible SOS. Also only one win vs a top 175 team, i.e. versus a mediocre LSU team. Even with a win tonight, I don't think they will be better than a 15.

If Davidson wins, they would bump a bubble team who is already above us so we would not move down. If anything we could move up a spot if Davidson were ranked below us (not likely). Thus, it is likely neutral to us.
I think being a 12 is wishful thinking. At least, I don’t see Bucknell being a 12 on the s curve.... That said, we could earn a 12 only because the Committee has the discretion to move teams up or down a seed line from where they are ranked to accommodate locations, matchup restrictions, etc.
If Toledo beats Buffalo, I think Toledo would be similarly ranked to us.

Marshall will play Western Kentucky in the C-USA championship tomorrow. A Marshall win would help the Bison chance for a 13 seed.
Marshall takes out Western Kentucky. Prior to the game, Marshall had an RPI of 96. Will likely move into the high 80's with the win. They have a final record of 24-10 with a so-so SOS. Prior to this win, they had two good wins (both over Middle TN) and one pretty good one (Toledo). I imagine they will be given a worse seed than Bucknell, but it is not a certainty.
Marshall, btw, was in full choke mode down the stretch. Led by 12 points with 3:30 left. WKU outscored them 11-0 down the stretch, but Marshall hung on.
