So what kind of crowd should we expect for this weekend's games? Did the tourney sell out last year? If so, then a final that includes Penn would certainly sell out.

7000 for Saturday, 6000 Sunday if Penn is in it, peanuts otherwise.

I’m going Sunday no matter what. I’ve got mid court chairbacks. Top row of course bb

Hopefully Kimmy and DJ in the full house.
That other DJ can stay home.

Over 4000 tix still for sale for each of Saturday men's and Sunday's Championships. Saturday evening attendance totally relies on whether any afternoon fans want to stay and watch - for free.
I'd bet a playoff between Harvard and Penn at a neutral site would draw much better than any of these sessions.

there's going to be a huge walkup, don't worry your smarmy little head off.
I would care less if you hadn't posted the exact same concern trolling in another thread.

The fans are flocking in droves in anticipation of a P-P final for the Women's bid. Will 3 be Penn's lucky number in its cozy home at the Palestra?ðŸ…😄

They announced 6200 for Saturday last year. Sunday was not divulged ;-)
No reason to think this year will be much different as the weather will be good (at least on Saturday) and they have dropped the ticket prices.

Play til 500pm on Saturday and get up Sunday morning for a noon tip-off. I think this is worse than DMouth/Hartford. What's wrong with a Friday Semi Doubleheader????? I know, TV.

Don't forget about losing an additional hour due to daylight savings time on Sunday morning.

We can hope Cornell takes Harvard to 2OT, while we win in regulation.

Remember Princeton Men aren't in it, they brought a decent number of fans for the short drive so attendance might fall short of last year.

I was thinking maximum fatigue for Harvard, average fatigue for us.

Jeff2sf, is that really necessary? Why the attack?
Good luck to everyone. Thrilled to have the tournament at The Palestra — and I’m a Harvard fan.

it has nothing to do with harvard, it has everything to do with his concern trolling. and yes, since i just learned this term 3 months ago, i'm using it every chance i get.
There's a headline in the Inquirer "Palestra hosting tourney, is that fair?". No, it's not fair. I wouldn't do it this way, but I have a hard time getting worked up about it if none of the participants are doing much complaining. And if it gets moved, so be it.
As for attendance, today's session will do well. Better than lots of other conference tournaments. That's mostly down to Penn being involved. Tomorrow will do well if Penn's involved, and not if it's not. Again, not how I'd draw up the tournament, but there you go.
But if you're going to criticize the tourney, do it for the right reasons. Not some DISTURBINGLY SUBTEXTUAL reasons that David Perry said (and still hasn't apologized for), and not some fake hand wringing about the Saturday attendance when we know the Saturday attendance will be fine.
