Juzang's threes before halftime were huge (not only the buzzer-beater from midcourt).

Lewis said he knew Juzang "was confident" he would hit the 40-footer. I asked Juzang if he felt he was a confident player and Amaker almost started laughing.

Everyone in my section was convinced Juzang jumped from the backcourt to receive that pass and didn’t establish himself in the front court before the shot - did the video show he didn’t?

That’s leaving aside the 15-yard roughing flag they should have thrown on Lewis which allowed Juzang to get the shot.

I didn't think it mattered because the ball wasn't possessed and controlled in the front court.

Video shows Juzang had left the backcourt before he touched the ball. He hadn’t yet established both feet in front Court but I don’t think it matters.

Mo ... I mean Chris .... Lewis on the other hand definitely closed on that pass like an NFL linebacker

Regardless, after a choppy start Harvard won going away.

Should be an intense game tomorrow.

Well if Juzang left the backcourt, caught the ball in the air, and landed with it in the front court before rising for the shot, that’s a violation.

Fascinating rules question, but I believe the ball would not be deemed secured and possessed off the Lewis tip back to Juzang, in which case it wouldn’t matter where Juzang was.

That's what I think too but not sure.

Since none of the officials saw the obvious Lewis foul, gotta assume they thought Harvard had possession of the ball throughout the sequence!

So the ball was deemed to have been randomly tipped to Juzang?

Not randomly tipped, but not fully possessed. I believe there’s a high standard for what front court possession is that goes beyond what Lewis was able to manage.
