Penn falls in the finals 63-34. Tigers go 3-0 against the Quakers with wins of 15, 20 and 29 points.
Penn only had 5 players scoring with Nwokedi getting 13 (and 8 rebounds), Kinum with 9, Ross with 6, Crawford with 4 and Parker with 2.
As a team, they shot 8-31 from two, 4-23 from three and 6-9 from the line.
Princeton had Meyers with 18, Jordan with 9, Alarie with 8, Robinson with 7 and Holland, Rush & Weledji each had 6. As a team, they shot 12-34 from two, 9-21 from three and 12-20 from the line.
Princeton controlled the boards 48 (12 O, 36 D) to 31 (7 O, 24 D). Penn's offensive rate was 16% and defensive rate was 67%. Alarie had 17 rebounds for the 2nd night in a row, along with 6 blocks.
Penn played solid defense last night and good two point defense today, but they had lots of difficulties on offense both days. While they proved themselves to be the second best team in the league, they were not even close to the Tigers.
The Quakers hopefully can improve their offensive performance whem they play in the WNIT.

I have to admit I turned it off...Did she really have Alarie in there with under 1 minute to go?! And then she sat on the rim? Lol. What a piece of work she continues to be. The dislike is earned.

Yeah she is pretty terrible, but we’ve beaten them pretty soundly the last few years so I’m sure it was her way of trying to rub in that they’re back on top. They were just better this year, so congrats to them. Hopefully once we get back on top the team will remember this and return the favor.

I left after McLaughlin took the seniors out. Did Banghart sit on the rim?

She sure did...Somehow, the leaving in of the starters has me more fired up than the rim sit.

Just for clarity's sake, is your objection that Banghart sat on the rim at all, or that she sat on the Palestra's rim?

Why shouldn't she sit on the rim?

I was wondering the same thing. She and the Tigers earned the right.

In my opinion, players sit on the rim, not coaches...I have no problem with any player getting up there, no matter whose court it was on.

Princeton rightfully won and I don’t have a problem with players or coach sitting on the rim, honestly. They earned the right and were this the days of Old I’d be fine with our coaches sitting on their rim if we clinched there.
I also have zero problems with how they played with the lead. We had a second place team playing on our home court, and the option to stop them from scoring or scoring our own points every time down the court. Sports is survival of the fittest and let’s just hope we climb back up the hell again shortly.

I am totally fine with them celebrating and how they did it.
On the second point--look, they couldn't do a thing against them for basically the whole game. The lead kept on getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger. Even in the 4th quarter--bigger and bigger and bigger.
At some point with 5, 4, heck 3 minutes--I mean cmon, the point has been made, call off the dogs. Heck, if you wanna leave the senior Robinson out there until the last few seconds, OK. But ALL the main starters until the final minute or so?
I disagree with the dog eat dog comparison--the dog had already been eaten. This was piling on the carcass.

It just seems creepy for a grown woman/man, not a college kid, to get up there. Sorry, that's just me. And if you don't think she kept those starters in for that long on purpose, I don't know what to tell you. It is indeed her prerogative, but let's not hide behind the facade of protecting a lead.
