If that’s true, someone should have broken his foot years ago.

That just adds to my admiration for Darnell. That guy is the heart of this team and will be very difficult to replace. Lots of Penn fans are downplaying how much his loss will hurt us next year, but they are only looking at stats or comparing skills. Darnell's intangibles can't be quantified.

He was already going down in Penn lore, but this takes it to an all-time level. What a warrior. I am so happy for him. I got on him a lot his first 3 seasons and man oh man did he grow and do everything and then more to prove me wrong. Just incredible.

Apparently Foreman's recruitment was down to Hartford, Georgian Court and American International until Penn made a late offer.

Read this. Eerily familiar.

That is amazing, especially because it’s literally the best basketball he has ever played at Penn over that 6 weeks...

All the credit in the world to Foreman who worked his butt off to become the leader and All Ivy player he has been this year!

Yes I knew that and referenced it after the @Princeton win when everyone was lamenting Cannady looked hurt. Darnell was wearing a boot on his foot all the time except for games until about 2 weeks ago. I saw him with it after a few games.

I gave Goodman a hard time on this forum, and he has proven me wrong. I thought he was a great representative for the school and a great competitor, but I also thought he didn't have the physical and mental tools to lead a championship team. I thought he was a player who would try to put the team on his shoulder in crunch time - but not deliver. Boy was I wrong on all of this.

I at least have comfort that Donahue felt the same way.

From the article: "No one thought he could play at this level,” Donahue said. “Honestly, when I came here, I thought, ‘I better get somebody here better than Darnell Foreman if I’m going to win a championship. Sure enough, every stinking day, he proved me wrong. I couldn’t get him out of the lineup.”

Foreman now goes into my pantheon of great Penn players as one of the most heroic. Now he's truly a Penn hoops legend.

You obviously meant "Foreman" in your first sentence.

That article was amazing. Well done and my respect for Darnell is off the charts right now. We will be talking about this game the rest of our lives. I hope to see it enshrined on a wall soon.

A photo of Darnell running off the court at the half-coming to a shrine near you soon.
