last week i had auto play ads. I briefly wondered if I was back in 2014. I looked up the customer service number to see who to complain about getting my money back and then realized... yeah.

The spam coming via the ad server is definitely off the charts the last week or so when accessing with Safari on the iPad.

I had an annoying pop up (Amazon) last week on my iPhone when accessing only this site, so I could no longer access the board from my iPhone. Took me two days to figure out to get rid of it, but I finally was able to do so.

LOL. I'll tell her you said that but the pop ups were that I was the lucky Amazon customer who could win a $1000 Amazon gift card for correctly answering three questions.

Anyhoo, that's one of the annoying things that keeps on popping up on my cell--what was your fix?
I had an annoying pop up (Amazon) last week on my iPhone when accessing only this site, so I could no longer access the board from my iPhone. Took me two days to figure out to get rid of it, but I finally was able to do so.

On my PC, a good ad blocker kills this stuff. Ghostery is my favorite. Speeds things up too.
iPhones and IPads are harder. Clearing out cache and cookies from Safari browser seemed to help.

Hey Jake,
Great to hear from you as always. I was one of the lucky folks polled, and I think I was up for more change than others (but please call me out if not). Either way, I’m definitely up for something new now and would be happy to make a contribution to the cause (but would want to keep free as for me it would also be about getting new fans here too). From my perspective, as long as we have a board, ability to search, and send PMs then I’m good with new tech, rich media, social integration, etc. Maybe it will help get some new Ivy fans to join and participate also.

Turns out my fix (clearing browser history and cookies, followed by turning off my iPhone, then repeating both steps a second time) was only a temporary fix, as the Amazon popup is back today when I access this site from my iPhone.

I would like a "like" button and to keep my post count. And media, yadda yadda.
I've never used a tagging forum but it seems intuitive to me, although I'm not sure how much I want to be dragged into odd conversations just because Penn pops up. The forum I frequent most uses Xenforo, which I've found to be nice as an end user.

I've given up on accessing this site on my iPhone through Safari, because of the Amazon pop up, and am now using the Google app. So far so good....
