I became a lacrosse fan when my son played in high school. Fun game to watch. Looking at Penn beating Princeton on ESPNU currently. 7-3 score in the third. Looking at the Inside Lacrosse poll, it looks like the Quakers might be close to breaking into the top 25. Funny to see Cornell and Princeton NOT currently in the top 25. Yale is #7.
As I write this Princeton scores and it's 7-4 now.

Up 11-5 with about 8 minutes left. Lead looks safe; time to watch some basketball.

The Penn men's lacrosse team has been ranked in the top 20 all season, currently ranked #19. The Quakers opened at #18, and peaked at #13 after knocking off then #1 Duke.

I used the Inside Lacrosse poll on NCAA.com. They were not ranked in the Top 20 last week in that poll (not Top 25 as I stated). This week they are tied for 16.

Women's team is doing even better, with a 7-0 record and, after beating #19 Duke in Durham, a #7 ranking in this week's poll. They've also recorded righteous thumpings of Cornell and Georgetown, also on the road. A stiffer challenge coming up this week, as #4 and defending national champeen Maryland visits FF on Wed. night.

I hate it when the groundhog is right.
Wife was supposed to fly out to Cincy from DC to today. cancelled the flight in early afternoon even though it's still rain and then put her on a flight through Chicago when it will be even worse later. managed to get her on a direct flight thursday. hope the roads are cleared by then. Supposed to snow a few inches in Cincy tonight and tomorrow also. Winter needs to end.

Women's game moved to Thursday. Men's 4pm game today moved to 7pm indoors in the air structure with only 150 spectators allowed in. I'm guessing no IDN broadcast but I'm not sure of that.

I wonder if the field will have to be shrunk to accommodate the teams and spectators. Keeping time should be interesting, too.

Men's game wasn't showing on ILDN, although I checked late, so it's possible it's over and being archived.

Penn won 9-8 on a goal by Simon Mathias with 2 seconds left. There was no video.
