Good luck to a heady player and, from all reports, a very nice young man. It hurts that we didn't have his play for all of a year ago and for much of this last year.

Wow! I'm excited for Kyle and wish him great success at Xavier and thereafter. I'm also impressed, but not surprised that he had at least two powerhouse programs--Xavier and Ohio State--vying for his services. Their interest certainly validates the very high opinion of Kyle that all of us on this Board shared throughout his career at Columbia. Good Luck again to him!

Apparently Xavier used Levien when waiting to play in MSG. Perhaps a connection was made then.
Anyway, a very good person.

I am very happy for Kyle. Just a shame that he had to lose 1 and 1/2 seasons.

for sure. It goes to show the caliber of player Kyle bought in. 2 grad transfers to power 6 programs, Lo, who could have played anywhere, Smith, Meiesner, who will play pro overseas, Rosenberg, who is playing pro overseas. Of course, as is normal in the Ivy too, there are the misses - Stephens, Eberle, Hunter, Gilson, but Kyle definitely had more hits.
I can hear Jimi!

If "Kyle Smith recruited Rosenberg" is repeated enough times, does that eventually make it true?

Smith also recruited Mullins, who lost a season and a half to a concussion but was a tremendous player. I don’t know the story of Rosie’s recruitment but always assumed that he was a Smith recruit.

If I recall oorrectly, Alex Rosenberg committed to Joe Jones then did a year at Peddie and arrived for Kyle's first year in 2010-11.

That's correct. Rosenberg committed during the Jones era.
