Griffin is one of the candidates for the MSM head coaching job that opened up when Jamion Christian left for Siena. Of the five names listed in the article, I would guess the two favorites to be Cliff Warren, currently UMass Associate HC, and Dan Engelstad, current HC at Southern Vermont. Both were assistants at MSM at one time and have been head coaches. Griffin's only tie, as far as I know, is that his wife played and coached there.
Mt. St. Mary's expected to name coach by Wednesday

Engelstad has been hired. He was an assistant at MSM under Milan Brown and followed Brown to Holy Cross as an assistant.

While Griffin did not get hired, I think that it is only a matter of time before somebody takes a shot and hires him. He has a coaching pedigree. Nepotism rules in the NCAA! (Nepotism and shoe companies, that is. )
