From the University web site:
4/23/18:
"Princeton faculty members approved a plan Monday to revise the University’s academic calendar and move fall semester final exams into December from January, among other changes.
The changes will take effect in the fall term in 2020, at the start of the 2020-21 academic year. Today’s first-year students in the Class of 2021 will be the first students to enter senior year under the new calendar, which also establishes a two-week “Wintersession†in January with optional, non-credit-bearing activities."

It's going to take more than 2 years to roll this in? Probably because the profs will be required to have the exams ready a month earlier. Gotta get into shape.

That two-week Wintersession would be better used as reading period in the spring. It's too short to really do anything in terms of optional enrichment stuff. MIT's month-long Independent Activities Period in January was much better for exploration.

Question is whether anyone will take it, or will they be on the slopes or in the Caribbean?
