Apologies for not having posted earlier, but I find that since I've gone back to work, I'm pretty tired in the evenings, and it's been hard to concentrate enough to write anything coherent. Other than that, things went very well; I had much less pain than expected, ate solid food from the first meal post-surgery, and was back to work after eight days (I've probably overdone it a bit there, but oh well. . .) Best news of all, of course, is that all of the tests indicate that the cancer only reached stage 1 and that there are no signs of metastasis. Assuming that holds up, I should be following our heroes around the Northeast for many years to come.
Much thanks and gratitude to all for the kind thoughts and wishes. Once again, I feel very blessed to have ended up a Penn fan. I hope all of you are enjoying the beginning of summer.
Sincerely,
David Perry

Me too.
I have a pretty healthy uncle currently having surgery and related treatments for cancer. It stinks and his prognosis is excellent but it's no fun.
All the best--

It actually is long overdue that I start meeting the faces behind the screen names, so I will definitely do that.

I met P38 for the first time last season... If the other posters are anything like him, you're not missing out on anything.

Glad to hear you're doing so well David. I'm guessing that part of the reason for this is early detection?
